🌎 How to Update DNS or Nameservers
You may need to update your DNS or nameservers if you’ve recently moved your website, changed hosting providers, or added new services like email or subdomains. You can easily manage your domain’s DNS settings through your TK Internet Marketing Client Area.
🔐 Step 1: Log In to Your Client Area
-
Go to https://clients.tkinternetmarketing.com/clientarea.php.
-
Enter your email address and password, then click Login.
💡 If you forgot your password, click Forgot Password? and follow the reset instructions sent to your email.
🧭 Step 2: Open Your Domain Settings
-
From the top menu, click Domains → My Domains.
-
Find the domain name you want to manage.
-
Click the Manage Domain button to open its settings page.
⚙️ Step 3: Update Nameservers
If you need to point your domain to a new hosting provider:
-
On the Manage Domain page, select the Nameservers tab.
-
Choose Use Custom Nameservers.
-
Enter the nameservers provided by your hosting company.
-
Example:
-
ns1.examplehost.com
-
ns2.examplehost.com
-
-
-
Click Save Changes to apply your new settings.
⏱️ DNS updates may take up to 24–48 hours to fully propagate across the internet.
🧩 Step 4: Manage DNS Records (Optional)
If your domain is using TK Internet Marketing’s default nameservers:
-
Select the DNS Management or Manage DNS Zone tab.
-
You can add or edit individual DNS records, such as:
-
A Record: Points your domain to a hosting server IP.
-
CNAME Record: Redirects one domain/subdomain to another.
-
MX Record: Directs email traffic for your domain.
-
-
Click Save Changes when finished.
⚠️ Be careful when editing DNS records — incorrect settings may cause your website or email to stop working.
🔍 Step 5: Verify Your Updates
-
Use an online tool like https://dnschecker.org to confirm your DNS or nameserver updates.
-
If your website or email doesn’t work correctly after 24 hours, contact support for help verifying your setup.
