🚨 How to Report Spam, Phishing, or Suspicious Emails

From time to time, you may receive emails pretending to be from TK Internet Marketing, your hosting provider, or another service you use. These phishing or spoofed emails are designed to trick you into clicking links or sharing personal information.

Here’s how to recognize and report suspicious messages safely.

🧠 Step 1: Recognize a Suspicious Email

Phishing emails often look legitimate but contain subtle warning signs.
Watch out for:

  • Sender mismatch: “From” address doesn’t match the real domain (e.g., support@tkinternetmarkting.com instead of tkinternetmarketing.com).

  • ⚠️ Urgent language: “Your account will be suspended unless you act now.”

  • 🔗 Unusual links or attachments: Links that redirect to unfamiliar domains.

  • 💰 Payment requests or refunds: Messages claiming unpaid invoices or refunds.

  • 🧾 Poor spelling or grammar: Often a red flag in fraudulent messages.

💡 TK Internet Marketing will never ask for your password or payment information by email.

🔍 Step 2: Verify the Sender Before Taking Action

If you’re unsure whether an email is legitimate:

  1. Do not click any links or open attachments.

  2. Check the From address carefully — hover over it to reveal the true sender domain.

  3. Log in directly to your account at https://clients.tkinternetmarketing.com/clientarea.php instead of following links in the email.

  4. Search your inbox for official TK Internet Marketing emails (they always come from @tkinternetmarketing.com).

⚙️ You can also forward suspicious messages to us for verification.

📨 Step 3: Report the Suspicious Email to TK Internet Marketing

Forward the full email (with headers if possible) to:
📧 support@tkinternetmarketing.com

Please include:

  • The original subject line

  • A note describing what looked suspicious

  • Whether you clicked any links or entered information

Our team will inspect the email and let you know if it’s legitimate or part of a phishing campaign.

🧾 Step 4: Report to Your Email Provider (Optional)

You can also mark the message as Phishing or Spam within your email platform:

  • Outlook / Microsoft 365: Select the message → click Report → Phishing.

  • Gmail: Open the message → click the three dots → Report phishing.

  • Apple Mail: Move the message to the Junk folder.

These reports help email providers block future phishing attempts.

🔑 Step 5: Change Passwords if You Clicked a Link

If you accidentally clicked a link or entered your password:

  1. Change your password immediately for your email and hosting accounts.

  2. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) if available.

  3. Run a quick malware scan on your computer using antivirus software.

  4. Contact TK Internet Marketing to confirm your website or hosting account hasn’t been accessed.

🚫 Step 6: Delete the Message

Once reported and verified as fraudulent:

  • Permanently delete the email from your inbox and trash folders.

  • Do not reply or engage with the sender.

  • Block the address to prevent future messages.
