🔐 How to Reissue or Install an SSL Certificate

An SSL certificate keeps your website secure by encrypting data and displaying the trusted padlock icon in browsers. If your site shows a “Not Secure” warning or your SSL has expired, you can reissue or reinstall your SSL certificate quickly through your TK Internet Marketing hosting account.

🧠 Why SSL Matters

  • Protects data exchanged between your visitors and your website.

  • Builds trust and avoids browser warnings.

  • Improves SEO rankings (Google favors HTTPS).

  • Required for secure payments, contact forms, and user logins.

🔐 Step 1: Log In to Your Client Area

  1. Go to https://clients.tkinternetmarketing.com/clientarea.php.

  2. Log in using your email address and password.

  3. Click Services → My Services → View Details for your hosting plan.

  4. Click Login to cPanel.

⚙️ Step 2: Check Your SSL Status

  1. In cPanel, scroll down to the Security section.

  2. Click SSL/TLS Status or Manage SSL Sites.

  3. You’ll see which domains or subdomains currently have SSL installed.

    • AutoSSL Domain Validated: SSL is active and secure.

    • ⚠️ Expired or Invalid: Certificate needs reissuance.

    • No SSL: Needs installation.

💡 Many TK Internet Marketing hosting plans include AutoSSL, which renews certificates automatically every 90 days.

🔁 Step 3: Reissue or Reinstall SSL (AutoSSL)

If your SSL has expired or failed renewal:

  1. Go to cPanel → SSL/TLS Status.

  2. Click Run AutoSSL or Reinstall SSL Certificate.

  3. Wait 1–2 minutes while the system revalidates your domain and issues a new certificate.

  4. Refresh the page — your domain should show a green padlock icon in the list.

🧠 AutoSSL uses trusted certificate authorities like Let’s Encrypt or Sectigo.

🔧 Step 4: Manual SSL Installation (if provided by another vendor)

If you purchased an SSL from another provider:

  1. Go to cPanel → SSL/TLS → Manage SSL Sites.

  2. Under Install an SSL Website, paste your:

    • Certificate (CRT)

    • Private Key (KEY)

    • Certificate Authority Bundle (CABUNDLE) (if provided)

  3. Click Install Certificate.

  4. Once installed, visit your site using https:// to confirm it’s secure.

⚠️ Make sure your domain’s DNS A record points correctly to your hosting server before installing.

🧮 Step 5: Force HTTPS on Your Website

To make sure visitors always load the secure version of your site:

  1. In cPanel, open Domains → Redirects or .htaccess Editor (inside File Manager).

  2. Add the following redirect rule if not already present:

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]

  3. Save the file.

  4. Test your site by visiting both http:// and https:// — it should redirect automatically.

🌎 Step 6: Verify SSL Installation

  • Visit your site in Chrome or Edge. You should see a 🔒 padlock icon in the address bar.

  • Use https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html to confirm the certificate is installed correctly.

  • Ensure your certificate expiration date is valid for at least 90 days.
