🌐 How to Manage DNS Records for Your Domain

Your DNS (Domain Name System) records control where your website, email, and other online services point. You can easily view and edit your DNS settings from your TK Internet Marketing Client Area or directly through cPanel.

Follow these steps to update, add, or remove DNS records safely.

🔐 Step 1: Log In to Your Client Area

  1. Go to https://clients.tkinternetmarketing.com/clientarea.php.

  2. Enter your email address and password, then click Login.

💡 If you’ve forgotten your password, click Forgot Password? to reset it.

🧭 Step 2: Access Your Domain

  1. From the top menu, click Domains → My Domains.

  2. Locate the domain you want to manage.

  3. Click Manage Domain to open the domain management dashboard.

⚙️ Step 3: Open the DNS Management Tool

  1. On the Manage Domain page, look for DNS Management or Manage DNS Zone.

  2. If this option isn’t active, click Enable DNS Management (some domains require activation).

  3. Once inside, you’ll see a list of your DNS records, typically including:

    • A Record – Points your domain to your web hosting IP address.

    • CNAME Record – Redirects one domain/subdomain to another.

    • MX Record – Directs email traffic to your mail server.

    • TXT Record – Used for verification or security (e.g., Google Workspace, SPF, DKIM).

⚠️ Be cautious when editing DNS — incorrect settings can cause website or email outages.

✏️ Step 4: Edit or Add a DNS Record

  1. Click Add Record (or the pencil icon next to an existing record).

  2. Enter the following details:

    • Type: A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.

    • Name/Host: Usually “@” for the root domain or a subdomain like “mail” or “www.”

    • Value/Address: The destination IP address, hostname, or TXT value.

    • TTL (Time to Live): Optional — usually leave the default (3600 seconds or 1 hour).

  3. Click Save Changes.

💡 If setting up email (MX records) or third-party services (Google, Microsoft 365, etc.), double-check values provided by your provider.

🌎 Step 5: Wait for Propagation

DNS changes typically take time to update globally:

  • Most updates appear within 1–2 hours.

  • Full propagation may take up to 24–48 hours, depending on your ISP.

You can monitor progress using:

🧩 Step 6: Managing DNS Through cPanel (Alternative)

If your domain uses TK Internet Marketing’s hosting nameservers:

  1. Log in to your Client Area → Services → My Services → View Details.

  2. Click Login to cPanel.

  3. Under the Domains section, select Zone Editor.

  4. Use the +A Record, +CNAME Record, or +MX Record buttons to add new entries.

  5. Click Manage to view or delete existing records.

🧠 Advanced users can also configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records from the same area.

🧾 Step 7: Verify DNS Health

After changes are live, test your domain’s DNS health:

  • Visit https://mxtoolbox.com/DNSCheck.aspx.

  • Confirm no errors appear (e.g., duplicate or missing records).

  • Test your website and email functionality once propagation finishes.
