🔄 How to Transfer Your Domain Away from TK Internet Marketing

If you choose to manage your domain at another provider, you can easily transfer it away from TK Internet Marketing. This process follows ICANN’s transfer policy and ensures your domain ownership remains fully in your control.

⚠️ Before You Begin

To successfully transfer your domain, make sure:

• The domain has been registered for at least 60 days.

• The domain is unlocked.

• Your WHOIS contact email is current and accessible.

• You have the EPP/Auth Code (authorization code).

• Your domain is not within 7 days of expiration (to prevent transfer failure).

💡 If your domain just renewed, ICANN requires you to wait a few days before transferring.

🔐 Step 1: Log In to Your Client Area

1. Go to https://clients.tkinternetmarketing.com/clientarea.php.

2. Enter your email address and password, then click Login.

🧭 Step 2: Unlock Your Domain

1. From the main menu, click Domains → My Domains.

2. Find the domain you wish to transfer.

3. Click Manage Domain.

4. Under the Registrar Lock section, click Disable Registrar Lock (or toggle it to Off).

⚠️ You must unlock the domain before a transfer can proceed.

🔑 Step 3: Request Your EPP/Auth Code

1. On the same Manage Domain page, click Get EPP Code (sometimes shown as Transfer Code or Authorization Code).

2. The code will either:

   • Appear on-screen, or

   • Be sent to your registered admin email address.

💡 Keep this code confidential — it authorizes your new registrar to complete the transfer.

🧩 Step 4: Initiate the Transfer with Your New Registrar

1. Log in to your new domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.).

2. Look for the option to Transfer a Domain In.

3. Enter your domain name and EPP/Auth Code.

4. Complete the checkout process and pay any applicable transfer fee.

🔁 The transfer usually includes a 1-year renewal at your new registrar.

📧 Step 5: Approve the Transfer via Email

You’ll receive an email from both registrars confirming the transfer request.

1. Click the Approve Transfer link in the email.

2. Once approved, the registry will move your domain within 5–7 days.

💡 During this time, your website and email remain active — DNS settings are not affected.

✅ Step 6: Confirm Transfer Completion

When the transfer finishes:

• You’ll receive a final confirmation email.

• Your domain will disappear from My Domains in your TK Internet Marketing Client Area.

• You’ll manage renewals and DNS from your new registrar going forward.

🧮 Step 7: Optional — Cancel Hosting or Related Services

If your domain was bundled with hosting, you can:

1. Log in to your Client Area.

2. Go to Services → My Services → View Details.

3. Submit a Cancellation Request for hosting (optional).

4. Keep a backup of your website files before canceling if you plan to move hosting as well.
